“Flower in a Hurricane” arrives as Rockstar confirms Justice composed the game’s original score.
Rockstar has given music fans a reason to hit play on the new Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer. Released October 15, the video introduces “Flower in a Hurricane,” a Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. That lineup could carry a release announcement on its own. Here, it shares the billing with the return to Vice City.
The announcement also puts Justice at the center of the game’s musical identity: Rockstar confirms the electronic duo composed GTA VI’s original score. Their involvement extends well beyond the track selected for this trailer. Rockstar’s announcement says more details about the music, including an official score album, are still to come.
Jason and Lucia Have a Date With Vice City
The launch trailer arrives five weeks before the game’s scheduled November 19, 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
At the center of Rockstar’s story are Jason and Lucia, whose attempt at an easy payday pulls them into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida. Their dependence on each other gives the sprawling setting a personal focus: two people trying to survive the consequences of a job gone wrong. That is the premise Rockstar lays out on the official GTA VI site, with Vice City serving as the starting point for a much wider world.
The Song Is Part of a Bigger Music Release
“Flower in a Hurricane” is available as a standalone single and will also appear on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The 34-track collection arrives November 19, with digital pre-saves and vinyl and CD pre-orders already available.
The album, Justice’s score, and the in-game radio programming give players several ways into the music. Rockstar’s official music page already offers radio previews spanning pop, metal, Latin music, country, and Southern rap. The song’s debut adds another reason to explore that world before launch.
For HYPE, the interesting move is giving the trailer a new release with its own audience. A listener can come for SZA, Tame Impala, or King Gizzard and leave curious about Justice’s larger role in the game. A GTA fan can take the opposite route, following the trailer into a record they might otherwise have missed.
There is still a full score to discover and a game to play. For now, Rockstar has made the wait a little more interesting: Vice City has a new song to go with its November 19 arrival.
