Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been named the cover athlete for Madden NFL 26. The cover art captures his iconic reverse hurdle over a defender during a Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars—a play that has become emblematic of his athleticism. Barkley's exceptional 2024 season included 2,504 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns, contributing to the Eagles' Super Bowl victory and earning him a place in the exclusive "99 Club," denoting the game's highest player rating.
Enhanced Gameplay Features
Madden NFL 26 introduces several new gameplay features designed to provide a more immersive football experience:
- QB DNA : Over 500 new quarterback animations have been added, reflecting real-life tendencies and styles of NFL quarterbacks.
- Coach DNA : This feature brings the unique coaching styles and decision-making tendencies of NFL head coaches into the game, offering a more authentic strategic experience.
- Football Weather : Dynamic weather conditions, such as heavy snow and rain, now affect gameplay by impacting player movement, stamina, and ball security.

Platform Availability and Pre-Order Details
For the first time in over a decade, Madden NFL 26 will be available on a Nintendo console, launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Players can choose from multiple editions:
